PICTURE MAKE-UP AND RE-TAKE DAY AT ACMS:


Picture packages will be distributed to Asa Clark students Wednesday, September 10, 2014.ááAsa Clark Middle School's picture make-up and re-take day is scheduled for September 24, 2014 from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m.á Students who did not have their picture taken at in-person registration on August 20 should plan on having their picture taken on September 24.á Directions to order pictures can be found here.ááá Students who wish to have a re-takeáshould plan on having a picture re-take taken on September 24 as well.á Students who plan on having a re-take, NEED TO BRING THEIR ENTIRE PICTURE PACKAGE WITH THEM TO SCHOOL ON SEPTEMBER 24 AND HAND IT TO THE PHOTOGRAPHER WHEN THEY ARE CALLED TO REPORT FOR A RE-TAKE ON SEPTEMBER 24.á Contact Mrs. Carrigan in the ACMS office with questions (carrcyn2@pewaukeeschools.org).

6TH GRADE ORIENTATION AT ASA CLARK MSá

Asa Clark Middle School will be hosting their annual 6th Grade Orientation and Open House on January 22, 2015 (3:45 - 6:00 p.m.).á All current 6th grade students and their parents/guardians are invited to this orientation/open houseáwhere information about the scheduling and the course selection process for the 2015-16 school year will be provided.á Contact Mrs. Carrigan (ACMS Principal Secretary) with questions (carrcyn2@pewaukeeschools.org).
ENROLLMENT OF NEW STUDENT/TOUR OF ASA CLARK

New prospective families to the Pewaukee School District that would like aátouráof Asa Clark Middle School (7th and 8th grades), can schedule a tour by contactingáSchool Counselor Adriana Plach (262-695-5057 or placadr@pewaukeeschools.org).

If enrolling a 7th orá8th grade student at Asa Clark Middle School for the 2014-15 school year,áplease select the "New Families/Registration" tab to the left, and then select the "Enrollment Paperwork" folder whereáyou will find all of the forms necessaryáto enroll a new student.á When completing either a 7th or 8th Grade Course Selection Sheet, please feel free to reference the Course Description Guide which willáprovide you with a description for each course.

2014 ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL OF THE YEAR

Asa Clark Middle School and the Pewaukee School District are proud to announce that ACMS Associate Principal Lisa Rettler has been named the 2014 Assistant Principal of the Year for the State of Wisconsin.  This award is sponsored by the Association of Wisconsin School Administrators (AWSA).  Ms. Rettler is very deserving of this recognition based on her outstanding work in supporting teaching and learning through a student-centered approach, innovative practices, and systems thinking.

ATTENDANCE REPORTING FOR STUDENTS

Please call the Attendance Office (262-695-5024) each morning (prior to 7:30 a.m.) your child will be absent from school or tardy to school.  If your child has an appointment during the school day, send a note with your child stating the time they need to leave and the reason.  Your child should bring this note to the Attendance Office prior to 1st hour the day of their appointment to get an off-campus permit.

FAMILY INFORMATION CHANGES

In an effort to keep current with parent/school communication, parents/guardians are being asked to update their contact information through Family Access anytime there is a change during the school year to your e-mail address, home address, home/work/cell telephone numbers, etc.  Thank you for your assistance with this request.  Contact Mrs. Carrigan with questions (262-695-5034 or carrcyn2@pewaukeeschools.org).


FOOD SERVICE

It is important to check the balance of your child's food service account either with your child or through Family Access.  When submitting food service payments to the school office, please make certain all money/checks are submitted in a sealed envelope with your child's first and last name PRINTED on the front of the envelope.  Students should bring this payment to the school office prior to the start of the school day.  Contact Mrs. Carrigan with questions (262-695-5034 or carrcyn2@pewaukeeschools.org).
