Communities Coming Together - Drug Abuse Prevention
Pewaukee School District, in conjunction with other Lake Country area school districts, is co-sponsoring a parent presentation, Stairway to Heroin III: Bridge to Action - Feb. 17 at Westbrook Church, 1100 Hwy. 83, Hartland. A resource fair from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. followed by a presentation from 6:30 to 8 p.m. by Robert Stutman, a nationally recognized expert on drug abuse and prevention. 2015-16 ACMS COURSE DESCRIPTION GUIDE & SELECTION SHEETS

VALENTINE'S DAY DANCE
Student Council will be hosting a Valentine's Day dance on February 13, 2015 (click here for a dance permission slip).á Student Council will also be holding a Valentine's Day gift sale where students can purchase a mini heart balloon for $1 and/or a carnation for $2.á These items will be sold during lunches the week of February 2-6, 2015.á Items purchased will be delivered to the recipient on February 13 at the end of the day.á Questions or concerns can be directed to Mrs. Giese, Student Council Advisor (giesjul@pewaukeeschools.org).
ACMS TALENT SHOW TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE JJ WATT FOUNDATION
Coming February 10th, Asa Clark Middle School will be holding a talent show which will be a fundraiser for the JJ Watt Foundation.á Much like American Idol, we are looking for talented students and staff members to show off their abilities in a talent show.á After the talent show, students and staff will vote for their favorite "performer" by donating a dollar.á Every dollar received will equal 1 vote and the performer getting the most votes (dollars) will receive a trophy.á All money collected will be donated to the JJ Watt Foundation, a foundation that helps financially support after school activities for inner city schools.á More information about this talent show will be shared with students during gym classes in the very near future; however, in the mean time, students should start putting together a talent they want to show off!á Questions can be directed to Mrs. Jean Muench, Fitness Teacher (muenjea@pewaukeeschools.org).á

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES
Parent-Teacher Conferences at Asa Clark Middle School are scheduled for March 12, 2015 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.á Student progress reports for Term 4 will be handed out at these conferences.á If you are unable to attend conferences, progress reports will be mailed home after March 12th.á Please keep in mind that student grades can always be accessed in Skyward Family Access.á Asa Clark's conference format is designed for 5-minute conferences with teachers of your choice.á If you need a longer conference, please feel free to contact any of your child's teachers to schedule a conference at a different time.á Please contact Mrs. Carrigan (Principal Secretary) with questions or concerns about Parent-Teacher Conferences (carrcyn2@pewaukeeschools.orgáá ----áá 262-695-5034).

ACMS PERFORMS FIDDLER ON THE ROOF MUSICAL

Asa Clark Middle School's Musical Production and Drama Club students performed the musical Fiddler on the Roof in the high school's auditorium from January 14-17, 2015.á Fiddler on the Roof is one of the most popular musicals ever produced; it is a story told through beautiful songs and intriguing characters.á Congratulations to the directors, cast and crew for their outstanding work in the six magnificent performances of Fiddler on the Roof that were performed.á Please enjoy some pictures from these performances (above).

STATE PATRIOT PEN WINNER FROM ASA CLARK

Congratulations to Rebecca Rentz (7th grade ACMS student) for having her Patriot Pen essay being selected as the winner for the State of Wisconsin.á As the State of Wisconsin winner, Rebecca will be competing against the winners from all the other States who participate in the VFW National competition.á The results from the National competition will be announced in March, 2015.á Rebecca will be honored at the VFW Mid-Winter State Conference on February 21, 2015.á To read Rebecca's winning essay, please click here.
8TH GRADE PROMOTION

Promotion celebration activities for 8th grade students are scheduled for June 4, 2015 as follows:

6:30 - 7:00 p.m. - 8th grade students line-up for promotion celebration in the PHS Auditorium
7:00 - 8:15 p.m. - 8th grade promotion celebration in PHS Main Gym (no limit on guests)
8:15 - 10:15 p.m. - 8th grade promotion celebration dance in PHS Auditorium Lobby (only ACMS 8th grade students are able to attend the dance)

ATTENDANCE REPORTING FOR STUDENTS
Please call the Attendance Office (262-695-5024) each morning (prior to 7:30 a.m.) your child will beáabsent from school or tardy to school.ááIf your child has an appointment during the school day, send a note with your child stating the time they need to leave and the reason.á Your child should bring this note to the Attendance Office prior to 1st hour the day of their appointment to get an off-campus permit.

New prospective families to the Pewaukee School District that would like aátouráof Asa Clark Middle School (7th and 8th grades), can schedule a tour by contactingáSchool Counselor Adriana Plach (262-695-5057 or placadr@pewaukeeschools.org).

If enrolling a 7th orá8th grade student at Asa Clark Middle School for the 2014-15 school year,áplease select the "New Families/Registration" tab to the left, and then select the "Enrollment Paperwork" folder whereáyou will find all of the forms necessaryáto enroll a new student.á When completing either a 7th or 8th Grade Course Selection Sheet, please feel free to reference the Course Description Guide which willáprovide you with a description for each course.á In addition, if you are enrolling a 7th grade student, you need to also reference the 2015-16 Course Description Guide and complete a 2015-16 7th Grade Course Selection Sheet as well.
